THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE

SPECIAL FOCUS: Reading Appreciation, Community Responsibility

The Sorcerer's Apprentice

A classic tale from the Brothers Grimm features a clever and kindhearted boy whose ability to read is his greatest strength in outwitting a wicked sorcerer. This magical presentation features an imaginative variety of puppetry techniques, including introductory puppets that appear from within a cape worn by the puppeteer, a life size boy and sorcerer, and shadow puppets in the exciting chase scene. The audience recites simple poems as they assist in the working of magic spells. And the boy remains true throughout to his mother's advice to do something that puts good into the world.
